Gazelle.com Joins EarthEra
Last month, Gazelle.com, the nation's largest online consumer electronics reCommerce service, became the latest company to join the EarthEra program. The partnership with EarthEra will help balance the carbon impact of the company’s daily business operations and extend the experience to Gazelle customers through the EarthEra Climate-Friendly Shipping program.
Gazelle provides an easy, fast, and safe way for consumers to get cash for selling unwanted electronics or to recycle them responsibly. To date, thousands of consumers have used the service as a way to clean out closets, get cash and help out a good cause.
"Our goal is to reduce the eWaste problem by keeping thousands of electronic items out of landfills," said Israel Ganot, CEO of Gazelle. "To date, we've prevented more than 100,000 products from ending up in landfills. The EarthEra program enables us to take our commitment even further by joining with our customers and others to help build a clean energy future."
EarthEra is excited to enhance the eco-friendly services Gazelle already provides. In addition to thousands of unwanted electronics being either re-used or recycled, the EarthEra component balances the carbon impact of shipments to Gazelle and helps build new renewable energy facilities.
During an introductory period, Gazelle will deposit $1.00 into the EarthEra Renewable Energy Trust for each gadget shipped to Gazelle at no cost to the customer. 100 percent of these funds will be used to build new renewable energy facilities in the United States. Gazelle expects to incorporate additional EarthEra product offerings into its service in the near future.
